Do you know Puerto de Pollensa?
As Wikipedia says, the Port of Pollensa, also known as Puerto Pollensa, is a coastal town located in the north of the island of Mallorca, in the Bay of Pollensa, at the beginning of the Formentor peninsula, protected by the fort of the Punta de la Avanzada. It is about 6 kilometers from the inland town of Pollensa, and about 2 kilometers from Cala de San Vicente.
The Port of Pollensa is a very busy and loved place, especially by the British who visit it frequently. It is a place that always leaves its visitors wanting to return again and again. Thanks to a series of decrees that prohibit building in certain areas of the island, it is very difficult to see an excessively tall building: only long stretches of sandy beach surrounded by pine and palm trees, a splendid variety of cafes and restaurants, and some excellent hotels .
As a curious fact, the Port of Pollensa served as inspiration for Agatha Christie to write one of her novels.
